Our Story

From the heart of the Midwest, what began as a large family brewing tradition, evolved into a passion to create the most unique, flavorful spirits using only natural ingredients. 

How It Started

Our founder, the youngest of seven brothers and one sister, first attempted to make spirits at the young age of 14 years. As he came of age, many of his siblings joined in the pursuit to create unique hand-crafted beverages. Many weekends were spent perfecting the craft until he decided to start a legal distillery in 2010. By then, he had begun experimenting with “Low-Temperature” vacuum distillation.
 

Traditional distilling methods aggressively boil away most of the subtle, natural flavor of the ingredients, so his experimentation ultimately lead to designing and building an innovative Low-Temperature distilling process that captures the delicate flavors and produces inspiring results using all natural ingredients. After more than a decade of perfecting the equipment and techniques, Seven Brothers Distilling Company is the leader in Low-Temperature distillation. 

Our Philosophy

Seven Brothers is a new breed of artisan distillery that is locally owned and made right here in Cleveland, Ohio. We use all natural, locally grown ingredients whenever possible along with select natural ingredients from local purveyors. Our mission is to bring bold, innovative, natural, and flavorful hand-crafted premium spirits to the Ohio market and beyond.

We do things very different from the big distilleries. Every batch begins with freshly milled, all natural, Ohio grains and spring water. Next, we rewrote the book on distilling by perfecting our proprietary Low-Temperature vacuum distillation and infusion still. Our vacuum distillation and infusion requires specialized equipment and a lot of patience, so we custom designed and built our own stills, making us quite different from distilleries around the world.

Our unique process allows us to bring out flavors which may otherwise be lost when using traditional methods. We preserve the all natural aroma and flavor of our grains and introduce select botanicals to create our varied products. Every batch is carefully tended to with pride and craftsmanship as we select only the best tasting "middle cut" to blend with pure Ohio spring water.

The results are exceptionally smooth, premium spirits with vibrant aromas, bold flavors, and distinctive tastes. Our process takes a bit longer, but the results are worth the wait!
